Hello creatives! This note is coming to you from Debi Schadel at the Contemporaries’ and we’re an affiliate of the Columbia Museum of Art. Every year we have a silent auction of over 100 pieces of emerging artwork by artists like you! (some of you are even past participants.) This auction is called Contemporaries’ Artist of the year or CAY.
CAY is a juried art show that selects 100 pieces to auction off and the artist retains 60% of the profit. Great news about this year is that there is a $2,000 grand prize for artist of the year. We’re also awarding a $300 people’s choice and an Undefined award (to be featured in Undefined Magazine).
We’re accepting applications until Mar. 11, 2011, and I encourage all of you to apply! The event is on May 5, 2011 and all art forms are allowed.
For more information, please visit our website at (http://www.columbiacontemporaries.com/artistoftheyear.aspx) and download the FAQ’s. You can apply either on our website or even on Facebook at (http://www.facebook.com/ColumbiaContemporaries) and click on the left where it says Apply to CAY!
