Joseph Sand Pottery in Randleman, NC, Holds Summer Kiln Opening – July 16, 2011

The Joseph Sand Pottery in Randleman, NC, will offer a Summer kiln opening on Saturday, July 16, 2011, from 11am-6pm.

The day will entail the debut of pots showing off some unique test glazes, from Turquoise and Deep Sea Blue to the rich hues of the Copper Reds. These pieces are created using his newest wood kiln, which was funded, in part, by a grant provided by the United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro. And, guess what?!? It will also be Joseph’s birthday!

This special, one day only sale will feature a very limited quantity of some fantastic, quality wares. A delicious lunch will be provided from 11:30am until 2pm, featuring fresh, high-quality burgers hot off the grill from Fresh Cuts Butcher & Seafood in Asheboro, NC, including all of the required toppings, if you so choose. We’ll also have some chips, beans, and a sweet treat to end the meal right.

Come help us celebrate the creation of the new kiln, some new exciting glazes, and Joseph’s Big Birthday!
