The Arts Council of Henderson County has extended its deadline for artist applications for the 53rd annual Art on Main fine art/fine craft arts festival, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7, on Hendersonville’s historic Main Street. The new deadline for artists is June 15 (postmark). Application forms may be found at (www.acofhc.org/artmain.htm).
A juried and judged festival, artists must submit images of their artwork, plus a photo of a recent booth set up. Artists must provide their own 10’ x 10’ tent/canopy. $4500 in cash awards will be presented at an artist’s awards reception Saturday evening.
One of the region’s most popular outdoor arts festivals, Art on Main features both fine arts and fine crafts. Artists from throughout North and South Carolina, as well as artists from Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Wisconsin, Virginia, Delaware, Indiana, and other states will participate in the 2012 Art on Main. Hours for the festival will be from 10am-5pm both days.
