The Abbeville Artist Guild is proud to be presenting our 9th annual arts festival – Art’oberfest on Friday & Saturday, Oct. 19 & 20, 2012, in historic downtown Abbeville, SC. We are inviting artisans and craftsmen to display, demonstrate and sell their arts and crafts. Our festival is centered on beautiful Historic Trinity Street and our Historic Livery Stable, which will accommodate our first 28 registered artists with a covered space. This years’ condensed layout will provide an intimate festival environment for all of our artists.
A 10′ x 10′ space will be provided for each participant and will be available at noon Friday afternoon, for our Friday Preview Night*. Security will be provided overnight for your work. Members of the Guild will be available at noon Friday to help in any way. Exhibitors are asked to display their artwork from 4 – 8:30pm on Friday, and 10am to 5pm on Saturday. Exhibitors and their guests are invited to our annual Artist Appreciation Reception. This informal reception will be held at 8:30pm on Friday, Oct. 19.
In conjunction with the Artist Appreciation Reception, a silent auction of art and art related items will be on display for the duration of the festival. Artists’ donations for our silent auction are greatly appreciated.
In addition to the Artisan Show & Demonstrations, Children’s Crafts & Activities, and Live Music throughout the weekend– Friday & Saturday will both feature our new Free Art Friday** Art Scavenger Hunt, with Saturday being incorporated with our Wine & Beer Walk.
