City Art in Columbia, SC, Offers High Noon Lecture by Jeffrey Day – July 21, 2012

City Art in Columbia, SC, is offering FREE arts related presentations lasting an hour or less on Saturdays at HIGH NOON in the main gallery. No reservations required. But don’t be late or you’ll miss something good.

On July 21 at NOON – Jeffrey Day has been closely following the visual arts community of the state for 20+ years, much of that time as arts writer for The State newspaper from 1989 to 2009. For the High Noon series, he will provide a fast trip through the last century of art in South Carolina focusing on particularly groundbreaking artists, artists who helped usher in a more modernist approach to art-making in the state, as well as how the visual arts scene has evolved during the past few decades.
