Patz Fowle of Hartsville, SC, recently received a first place award for her ceramic sculpture; Smoked Salmon, during the opening reception for the 2012 Sumter Artists’ Guild Exhibition at the Sumter County Gallery of Art in Sumter, SC. The exhibition will remain on view through August 31, 2012.
The Sumter Artists’ Guild show is an annual exhibition held at the Sumter County Gallery of Art. The juror for this year was Wendth Thomas Wells, artist and owner of City Art in Columbia, SC.
The Sumter County Gallery of Art is located at 135 Haynesworth Street in Sumter. The gallery’s hours are: Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-5pm and Sunday, 1:30-5pm.
