The word is getting out about this up-and-coming little spot on the Haw River. Saxapahaw, NC, is a historic mill village on the Haw River that is getting lots of attention these days. A major remodeling of the old mill is underway and has resulted in a fabulous art gallery, a gourmet restaurant, a great coffeehouse, a pub and the newly opened Haw River Ball Room.
SaxArt River-Walk is a juried Art Festival planned for Sept. 22, 2012, from 10am-6pm. There will be “Cash Prizes” and ONLY 75 artists will be selected to participate. Deadline to apply is Aug.15, 2012.
