Tickets are on sale now for McKissick Museum’a Annual Gala Art Sale. With A Sense of Place: Gettin’ Fresh McKissick Museum, located on the campus of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, hopes to spark a conversation about the role art plays in creating a distinctive southern experience. McKissick reached out to select artists in the region whose work specifically explores the relationship between culture and nature.
The exhibition features works by over sixty artists who are shaping what it means to live in the south. Preview the art work in A Sense of Place now through Aug. 24, 2012. All works on exhibition can be purchased at McKissick Museum’s annual gala art sale on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, with proceeds to benefit the Museum’s exhibitions and programs.
Tickets for the annual gala art sale are $50 for museum members and $60 for non-members.
