The Raleigh Fine Arts Society in Raleigh, NC, is calling for entries for the 2013 North Carolina Artists Exhibition,
Seeking the Best of North Carolina Creativity. The exhibit will be on view from Mar. 10 – May 2, 2013, at the Betty Ray McCain Gallery, located at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts, 2 East South Street in Raleigh, NC.
The 2013 juror will be Bill Dunlap, artist, arts commentator and educator. Dunlap’s works are included in many prestigious collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Dunlop will present three $1,000 Juror’s Choice awards and a Grand Prize of $3,000. New this year, art will not be separated into categories for judging purposes.
The Raleigh Fine Arts Society encourages art that is FOR SALE. All art will be available for purchase unless designated “NOT FOR SALE” at the time of entry. RFAS charges a commission of 30%. Sale prices may not change.
The exhibition is open to North Carolina residents (ages 18 and over) and college and university students and faculty are eligible to submit two original works, executed within the last two years. Works exhibited in previous Raleigh Fine Arts Society exhibitions are not eligible. All work must be the sole work and exclusive property of the artist.
