Winston-Salem (NC) Downtown Art District Association (DADA) presents May 4, 2012, first Friday Gallery Hop, 7-10pm in the Downtown Art District.
Join us for the first Friday May Gallery Hop in the Winston-Salem Art District, located along Sixth Street, Trade Street from Fifth-Seventh Streets, and Liberty Street from Fifth to Sixth Street to celebrate art, local artists and enjoy receptions, extended hours and great hands-on art opportunities.
First Friday May Gallery Hop includes gallery receptions with new artwork in DADA’s galleries, shops and studios during theses extended hours. Plan to experience the new exhibits and meet the artists. In May, DADA is pleased to support BirdFest, and several other important non-profits in our community.
Gallery Hop includes many performances scheduled along Trade, Sixth and Liberty Streets during the 7-10pm hours that include
Tai Chi Demo in front of Golden Flower
Sand mandala in front of the Yoga Gallery
DADA Membership Tent at end of 600 block of Trade
Human statue on Trade
Birdfest Buy and Fly in lot beside Woodland Moth
Birdfest auction items exhibited in selected galleries, to be auctioned Saturday at Breakfast of Course.

And the great atmosphere of the Downtown Art District. Special events are always held within galleries, too. Before the hop enjoy dinner in the local art district restaurants, and after the hop, experience music and entertainment in our local venues.
Gallery Hops are sponsored by the Downtown Art District Association (DADA) through support of local patrons and the arts community. Donations are accepted with great appreciation, and used to continue support of art events in the Art District.
