This Sunday, Mar. 13, Mixson will debut Battle of the Brushes, an interactive art show and friendly competition supporting Charleston’s top collegiate artists, in North Charleston, SC’s historic Park Circle neighborhood.
From 2 to 5pm, Mixson will host emerging artists from the Art Institute of Charleston, Trident Technical College and the College of Charleston for a self-paced art excursion through eight unoccupied homes at Mixson. The surrounding courtyard will serve as the setting for complimentary refreshments and music as votes are cast for best-in-show. The winner will go home with $500 and the inaugural Battle of the Brushes title. Featured artwork will be available for purchase to benefit the local artists, and Mixson’s LEED Gold certified model residences will be open for tours.
Mixson is a blossoming new urbanist community, located at 4400 Marblehead Lane within the famous Park Circle neighborhood in North Charleston.
