The Treasure Nest Art Gallery in Mount Pleasant, SC, Holds Customer Appreciation Day – May 14, 2011

The Treasure Nest Art Gallery in Mount Pleasant, SC will host a “Customer Appreciation Day” on May 14, 2011, from 10am to 6pm, where the public can meet artists, sip refreshments and nibble delicacies as they enjoy artwork, and maybe win one of several door prizes. Since the gallery opened in 2002, The Treasure Nest has developed a loyal following throughout the South.

The gallery continues to focus on high quality, hand-painted oils and acrylics available at remarkable value.   The Treasure Nest represents over 100 artists from local, other US and international locales. While it does not carry giclees or canvas transfers, it additionally offers some watercolors, pastels and antique works. Subjects range from marshes and wildlife by Charleston artists, to cubism torsos by Bulgarian talent. The gallery also stocks hundreds of high quality frames at competitive pricing. The public is invited to view the artwork and enjoy the day!

4th Annual Old Village Home Garden and Art Tour Takes Place in Mt. Pleasant, SC – Apr. 17, 2011

Attend the 4th Annual Old Village, Home Garden & Art Tour and enjoy a rare opportunity to explore 10 picturesque homes and gardens of Mt. Pleasant, SC’s Old Village. An Art Show and Sale of works by local artists, musical entertainment and refreshments is also included in the self-guided tour benefiting the American Red Cross.

This is a notice that often comes too late for us to get it into the printed version of Carolina Arts, but now that we have Carolina Arts News – we can bring readers this info.

The annual SOME OF US gathering will once again take place at Peggy Howe Studio, located at 1600 Home Farm Road in  Mt. Pleasant, SC. The event takes place on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, from 5-9pm; Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, from 10am-6pm; and Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, from 10am-6pm, with artists’ demos taking place on Sun. from 3-6pm.

Artists participating include: Robin Boston (paintings), Bernadette Cali (paintings and jewelry), Carol Savage (jewelry), David Edwards (photography), Peggy Howe (drawings and paintings in various media), Robin Lathroum (fiber quilts, wall hangings, clothing) and Bette Mueller-Roemer (ceramics and books).

East Cooper Crafters Guild in Mt. Pleasant, SC, Presents Annual Holiday Show – Nov. 26 & 27, 2010

The East Cooper Crafters Guild will present its 27th Annual Holiday Show, on Nov. 26 & 27, 2010, from 9am – 5pm at the Omar Shine Convention Center at 176 Patriots Point Blvd. in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

A part of the proceeds will benefit the East Cooper Community Outreach. Donations for non-perishable foods will be excepted at the show. Free Admission and door prizes.
