The Transylvania Community Arts Council in Brevard, NC, is looking for artists and crafters to sell work at its eleventh annual ArtMart fundraiser. Contributing artists are able to sell work that tends to clutter studios – pieces that may not have sold in the past or did not turn out exactly as expected. So set aside a box in your studio and start collecting that clutter now! Artists receive 60% of sales and 40% goes to TC Arts Council to support its youth art programs.
The ArtMart public sale will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9am-4pm. A casual preview party will precede it on Friday, Nov. 15, from 6-8pm. The preview party is attended by members, friends, sponsors and donors of the TC Arts Council. Artists will be able to set up their artwork at the TC Arts Council on Nov. 14 and 15 from 9:30am-5pm. TC Arts’ volunteers will staff the gallery and handle sales on Friday and Saturday.
The TC Arts Council will then open their Holiday Show and Sale entitled Santa’s Palette which will run from Nov. 22 – Dec. 20. This is an open show for Transylvania County and WNC artists. Artist may drop off their artwork Nov.18 – 20. Applications and additional information are available at the Transylvania Community Arts Council located at 349 S.
