The Pee Dee Land Trust in Florence, SC, will host a book and author/photographer event with Dr. Wink Prince and Benton Henry for The Great Harvest, on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at 7pm, at the Waters Building, 135 S. Dargan Street, in downtown Florence.
In 2010, the Land Trust hosted these gentlemen, considered two of the area’s experts on tobacco culture in the Pee Dee. They’ve written a new book, The Great Harvest, which will be available for signing and purchase during the event.
Prince is a professor of History at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC, and Henry is an accomplished photographer from Latta, SC. Henry’s photographs will be on display during the event as well.
A reception generously sponsored by Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Law Firm will immediately follow the presentation. If you haven’t been downtown to the newly renovated Waters Building, here is your chance!
Admission is FREE for Pee Dee Land Trust members and $10 for non-members, so why not join PDLT today?
