Kristin Gibson is a full time artist who lives and works in Carolina Beach, near Wilmington. A prolific painter, and mother of two, Kristin creates spirited “alla prima” paintings and fabrics stirred from elements of daily life. Color and pattern inspire the lyrical qualities of her still lifes, seascapes and silk scarves. Shaped by the ebb and flow of a lifetime by the sea, as well as the salt air and water integral to her process, Gibson calls her backyard work space “Saltwater Studio”.
