The Lancaster County Council of the Arts and Lancaster’s Finally Friday Series offers the Annual Fall Crawl – Night of the Living Arts, on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, from 5-10pm.
Beginning at the Springs House located at 201 West Gay Street in Lancaster, SC, with Haunted Music, Ghost Stories with Rick Elliott, as well as Craft & Food Vendors.
To participate in an arts prize contest, a $20 donation to support the programs of the LCCA gets you a “trick or treat” bag with instructions & map of downtown galleries, shops, bistros, and businesses to visit and collect treats to qualify for great gifts.
The “creepy crawl” begins at 5pm and “crawlers” must return to Springs House to be present for the 8:30pm announcement of winners. Stops along the way will have live music, beverage tastings, culinary samplings, pumpkin carving demo, and special art exhibits.
Participating businesses are Picture Perfect, Cakes & More by Pierre, Charley’s Café, Edwards Scott House, Justice Java, Café Taylor, Bob Doster’s Backstreet Studio, Sworn Few Motorcycle Club, Wireless Unlimited, Kimbrell’s, Hi-Lites and more to be announced. Upon return to Springs House, “crawlers” can capture the costumed memories with photograph by “The Shutterguy”.
Contest prizes include original artwork by Dianne Mahaffee, Harriette Goode, Bob Doster, Jamie Ouzts, students of Avant Garde Center for the Arts, Fran Gardner; certificate for live performance by Erin Moon-Kelly; tickets to upcoming concerts, events, and performances; Simple Wills courtesy of Mandy Powers-Norrell; nature photography books courtesy of Angelo Sciulli and Katawba Valley Land Trust; Gallery Up Art Tee’s; gift baskets; and more!
A night of fun and festivities in downtown Lancaster featuring arts in all forms: culinary, vintner, visual, performance, literary, fashion design (!), music, and more!!!!!!!!
