ICC is a non-profit, full service cancer support haven located in Hollings Cancer Center on the campus of the Medical University of South Carolina. ICC was established in 2010 by integrating MUSC’s mastectomy and wig boutique known as The Looking Glass, with Paul Falkowski’s (ICC Director) desire to create a haven for cancer patients to take advantage of the healing power of therapeutic massage touch and learn how to empower themselves through nutrition. In 2009 MUSC made the decision to closed The Looking Glass but offered Paul Falkowski and his non-profit organization the opportunity to occupy the space if he would agree to continue to offer the mastectomy products and wigs in addition to nutritional counseling and massage therapy and so ICC was establish.
