On Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 9am-4pm artisans will provide you with items to complete your shopping at the American Legion Spring Craft Fair & Car Show with the help of the Coastal Carolina Artists & Crafters Guild. The American Legion Building is located at 146 Broadhurst Road in Jacksonville, NC. The last four years have been wonderful! You can expect to find hand woven baskets, flower arrangements, baby items, pet accessories, jewelry, wood carvings, paintings, photography, and personalized gifts for Graduates, Moms-to-be, Father’s Day and more by artists in our area.

Everyone in the community has the opportunity to participate in the Bras For A Cause Contest. Entries will be on display and the winner will be selected by People’s Choice ($1 per vote); the winner with the most votes receives a trophy. The scavenger hunt will take you to all the booths and in your search you will discover the marvelous original gifts. If you want to be a sponsor you can. We advertise and talk about our sponsors and supporters on our website, radio, and Member’s blogs.

The car, truck and bike show going on outside will amaze you between 10am-3pm. Trophies will be awarded at 2:30pm. Open to all makes & models, from antique to new, import & domestic, stock/factory to customs (kits included).

Or please just support this event. The purpose of this event is to get as many people involved as possible in the proudly made in America items and to support the Shriners and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Last year it was remarkable, we had stories coming in telling how the Shriners helped their child heal. People from every income level may seek assistance for their child through the Shriners. Earlier in the year, we had opportunity to see video made by a child to thank the Shriners and to tell about the kindness and care she received from the Shriner’s hospitals. It really has touched our hearts.

The event is fun, so come out to the Jacksonville, NC’s American Legion Building on Saturday, May 5th from 9am-4pm.
