Log Cabin Art Guild in Columbia, SC, Offer Will South at Next Meeting – Feb. 14, 2015

Will South will present art as seen from the eyes of a museum curator at the meeting of the Log Cabin Art Guild at 10am, Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church, 125 Sparkleberry Lane, Columbia, SC. Refreshments begin at 9:30am.

South serves as the Chief Curator for the Columbia Museum of Art, a position he took over three years ago. He received his doctorate in art history from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in 1994, specializing in early modern American art.

South’s undergraduate training was as a painter, and he has always remained an active artist averaging a one-person exhibition every two to three years. He and his wife, Sara, live in downtown Columbia with their cat, River, and love being part of this community.
