Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton Head Island, SC, Calls for Entries for “An Eye for History, Visions of Honey Horn” – Deadline Before June 5, 2015

The Coastal Discovery Museum is seeking entries for a juried exhibition that highlights Hilton Head Island, SC’s historic Honey Horn property entitled “An Eye for History, Visions of Honey Horn”, to be shown July 23 – August 31, 2015.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the Coastal Discovery Museum will host an exhibition that reveals Honey Horn’s beauty, history, and heritage as seen by a wide variety of artists. Two and three dimensional artwork depicting, or inspired by, the unique Honey Horn site, may be submitted for consideration. A few examples of subject matter include: historic buildings, former (or current) residents, recent activities, natural scenery, and historic events.

Entries will be complemented by historic photographs and paintings, items from the Coastal Discovery Museum’s collection, and loans from private collections.

Digital images of entries should be e-mailed to Natalie Hefter at (nhefter@coastaldiscovery.org) before June 5, 2015.  Please include the following with the image: artist’s name, title of entry, dimensions, media, date, sale price (or if the piece is not for sale), and contact phone number.
