Want to see more great artwork in one location? The Monte Vista Hotel next door is hosting “The NEW Horizons” exhibit in the Restaurant and Lobby.

There is Something here for everyone’s artistic taste.- all within a few steps of the other. “Our Goal,” said artist and Special Events Coordinator for the League, Johnnie Stanfield, “is to make our gallery and artists’ works available to everyone in the Western North Carolina area to see, appreciate and to possibly have them choose – a few pieces to be a part of their new or existing art collection. We would love to have someone start an art collection because they fell in love with a piece of art at the event. Or become an active member of our league. Or just get inspired by the energy and creativity of those exhibiting.”

“We appreciate all the support of the Black Mountain residents and those visiting from surrounding areas have given us over the years and we want to continue offering them beautiful and affordable art. This outdoor event includes art and artist throughout the western NC area.”

This is a rain or shine event… another “Art on the Lawn” outdoor art event is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24, 2015, among a canopy of Fall leaves and the smell of hot apple cider inside the RED HOUSE STUDIO & Gallery -where a new art exhibit “Carolina” will be featured.

The “ART on the Lawn” outdoor art show and indoor events are located just 1 block from downtown Black Mountain on 310 West State Street, hours are 10am-4pm both days … parking and admission is free.
