ArtFields©, the South’s largest and most engaging art competition and festival, is seeking volunteers for the 2016 event. This year’s ArtFields© will take place Apr. 22-30, 2016, in downtown Lake City, SC.
ArtFields© is looking for volunteers to greet guests in the reception center and galleries, host and assist visiting artists, help stage the artwork for exhibition and assist with festival events and celebrations.
“Our volunteers serve as the heart and soul of ArtFields©, offering their time and commitment to make the event a success for the visitors and artists alike,” said Carla Angus, ArtFields© Volunteer Coordinator. “These volunteers get the true, hands-on ArtFields© experience.”
In 2015, 190 active volunteers logged in over 2,700 hours of volunteer time. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and attend a volunteer orientation. The first orientation and kickoff will be held at 6pm, Feb. 4, 2016, at the Bean Market in Lake City.
Those interested in joining this year’s team of volunteers are encouraged to visit the ArtFields© volunteer page at (http://www.artfieldssc.org/about/volunteers/). The volunteer recruitment deadline is Apr. 17, 2016.
