Cape Fear Studios in Fayetteville, NC, presents “The Sixth Annual National 2D Competition and Exhibition,” featuring artists from across the United States. Juror for this year’s event is Barbara Courtney Jaenicke.

Cape Fear Studios in Fayetteville, NC, Calls for Entries for “6th Annual National 2D Competition” – Deadline May 6, 2014

Cape Fear Studios, Inc. in Fayetteville, NC, is preparing to host their “Annual National 2D Competition”. Currently in it’s 6th year, the competition draws high quality entries from across the nation. The deadline for entries is May 6th, with the opening reception and awards presentation on June 27th from 6-8pm. The exhibit continues through July 21, 2014.

The competition this year will be juried by renowned pastel and oil artist Barbara Courtney Jaenicke. Currently residing in Roswell, GA, with her husband and son, Barbara paints landscapes and still life in pastel and oil. She’s a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies Master Circle, a Member of Excellence in the Southeastern Pastel Society, and a member of Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society. She teaches workshops throughout the United States and from her studio in Georgia. A unique opportunity to watch the juror at work is offered on the morning of the opening, June 27th, from 9:30 to 12:30. Jaenicke will present a pastel demonstration at Cape Fear Studios. This is a wonderful opportunity to watch a pastel master perform her magic!
