Charleston Gallery Association Forms in Charleston, SC

August 8, 2015

History has been made in the Charleston, SC’s art world. The French Quarter Gallery Association with over 20 years and 25 galleries have re-branded combining with Charleston Fine Art Dealers’ Association – CFADA of 17 years and inviting other art galleries in the downtown and greater Charleston area to become the Charleston Gallery Association.

“We are thrilled to bring all the art galleries together to continue promoting Charleston as a global ‘Art Destination’ with now over 40 fine art galleries,” said Julie Dunn, former President of French Quarter Gallery Association now the first President of Charleston Gallery Association.

The visual arts community in Charleston has so much to offer from traditional Lowcountry landscapes to contemporary abstractions and everything in between.  Today’s art collector is purchasing art they love and Charleston offers a grand selection.  Charleston being a tourist town and voted #1 city in the country by “Condé Nast Traveler” readers and #2 in the world, our goal is to show the art collectors of the world that this city is a destination for quality art.  Promoting the galleries as a whole provides a unity and single voice that creates a contagious energy, and will not only bring visitors to Charleston for the food, history and charm but also for the art!

Join us for the next Charleston Gallery Association ARTWALK on Friday October 2nd 2015 from 5 – 8pm.  All Charleston Gallery Association galleries will be open with many of the artist in attendance along with refreshments served.
