Mint Museum Randolph in Charlotte, NC, Offers 7th Annual Potters Market Invitational – Sept. 10, 2011

Ceramics enthusiasts will have the opportunity to purchase North Carolina pottery directly from the artists at the 7th Annual Potters Market Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, from 10am-4pm, on the front lawn of the Mint Museum Randolph (2730 Randolph Road). Organized by the Delhom Service League, an affiliate of The Mint Museum, the Potters Market is held each September on the first Saturday after Labor Day. Admission is $10 for adults ($8 after 2 p.m.) The ticket proceeds help support the acquisition of ceramics and library materials for The Mint Museum. Free parking is available.

The event brings potters and collectors together to promote awareness of this rich craft tradition. Each year the Potters Market features forty potters representing the state’s rich pottery-producing areas (Seagrove, the Piedmont, Catawba Valley, and the mountains). Their wares include the best of the traditional as well as contemporary, and are available at a wide range of prices.
