Annette Bartlett-Golden in Greensboro, NC, Will Host Her 6th Annual Holiday Open House Art Show Dec. 7 & 13, 2014

Greensboro, NC, artist Annette Bartlett-Golden will host her 6th annual Holiday Open House Art Show on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1-5pm and Saturday, Dec., 13, 2014, from 10am -5pm at 4101 Lawndale Place in Greensboro, near the Natural Science Center.

The event will feature a selection of her artwork and fine wood furniture crafted by Steve Golden. Note cards, and small wooden accessories will be offered for sale, in addition to the paintings and furniture. The show will include refreshments, holiday music, and a drawing for a FREE framed print by Bartlett-Golden. Parking is available on the street. Admission is free.

Bartlett-Golden uses crisp lines and rich, vibrant colors to impart a sense of immediacy, vivacity and optimism to her oil paintings and watercolors on a variety of subject matters: local and foreign landscapes, exotic and domestic animals, still lifes, and more. Recently, she participated in the Thirty Paintings in Thirty Days challenge sponsored by California artist Leslie Saeta. The event challenged artists around the world to paint thirty paintings during the month of September. Artwork created by Bartlett-Golden during the painting challenge will be featured in this year’s show. An artist and art teacher for over 15 years, Annette Bartlett-Golden’s work has been shown locally and is in private collections both in the US and abroad.

In addition, woodworker Steve Golden will also be participating in the show. Golden has been building traditional handmade furniture for 27 years. In 2010 and 2014 he was selected as one of America’s best craftsmen and listed in the Directory of Traditional American Crafts. Golden uses pole lathe turning, green woodworking, and other aspects of traditional furniture construction in his work.
