USC’s Department of Art in Columbia, SC, to Present 56th Annual Auction – April 20, 2011

Unique works of art by students and faculty will be sold to the highest bidder at the University of South Carolina’s 56th Annual Art Auction Wednesday, April 20, 2011.

The event will be held in the Capstone Conference Room, beginning with a preview party at 6pm and followed by the bidding from 7-10pm. The artwork will be on display beginning at 1pm for public viewing. Light refreshments will be provided.

Some of the contributing artists are Carol Pittmann, Ann Hubbard, Robert Lyon, Rob Shaw, Gene Speer, Mana Hewitt, Steven Hewitt, Jonathan Brilliant, Mary Robinson and many student works.

The auction is sponsored by the Department of Art in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences. Proceeds will be divided between the artists and the university’s art scholarship and gallery fund. Credit cards and checks will be accepted.
